THE DRUM AWARDS WINNER x 2

The BMW Filmmaking Challenge, in partnership with the BFI, invited filmmakers to create short films in the ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio, inspired by the BMW i7's rear theatre screen.

THE IDEA

We enlisted Emmy-winning Michaela Coel to mentor the participants, with the winning film debuting at the 2023 BFI London Film Festival.

Week one saw BMW's positive sentiment rise from 25% to 77%. BMW channels saw 30,000+ organic launch film views, 49,000 organic impressions, and 23 influencer mentions. BFI channels garnered 333,000 organic views, 495,000 organic post impressions, and 152,000 organic reach.
